Lord Jesus, You are great Prophet who speaks life to those facing death and has secured this by your death and resurrection. By your Spirit, give us understanding of your Word as we hear it read and preached, that we might trust your timing, and believe that you are with us even in the darkest places. Amen.

Lord Jesus, You are the God who saves and supplies, the One who calls us to open our mouth wide that You might fill it. Help us by your Holy Spirit, to understand and believe this promise found in Your Word, that we might call on You for salvation, and depend on You for our every need. Amen.

Lord Jesus, You are the Saviour who is with us by Your Spirit in every trial and temptation. By that same Spirit, open our minds to understand Your Word, and teach us to resist temptation and endure trial’s, that we may remain faithful to You in every circumstance. Amen.

Lord Jesus, You can reach the worst of sinners. You can repair the darkest of situations. By Your Spirit, open our eyes to see Your mercy in Your Word, that we might turn from our sin, trust in Your grace, and walk as those You have redeemed. Amen.

<aside> 🙏🏻 Lord Jesus, You are the Son sent to seek and save the lost, the Shepherd who searches for wandering sheep. By Your Spirit, open our eyes to see you in your Word, that we might grow in gratitude and walk in your ways. Amen

Lord Jesus, You are the Son loved by the Father, yet rejected by many. Open our minds by Your Holy Spirit to see You in all the Scriptures, to trust Your truth, and to acknowledge You as our Saviour and Lord, that we might not resist Your Word. Amen.

<aside> 🙏🏻 Lord Jesus, The choices we may in this life matter. Help us now by your Holy Spirit to see the warnings your Word gives about drifting from you and the narrow path that leads to life. That we might remain faithful to you and be found among your people. Amen.

<aside> 🙏🏻 Lord Jesus, You have told us that we need to be ready for your return, because we do not know the day or the hour. By your Spirit, speak to us now through your Word. That we might not be prepared for your coming and have nothing to fear when you judge the living and the dead. Amen.

<aside> 🙏🏻 Lord Jesus, Though heaven and earth shall pass away, your words never will. Speak to us now by your Spirit as we open your Word. Silence any competing voices. Give us wisdom to understand. Give us faith to believe. Give us strength to act on what we hear. That we would be ready for your coming in glory. Amen
