🙏🏻 Some pointers for a prayer meeting taken from Judges 4

 1. Praise God that He saves His people. He used judges like Deborah and Barak to save Israel, and through His Son, the greatest Judge, has saved us.

 2. Acknowledge that there are sins we are more inclined towards and rush into even though we know how foolish this is. Ask for the Spirit's help in the fight against sin.

 3. Pray that in times of peace and of ease, we would avoid becoming complacent and secure in ourselves, and instead remain dependent upon God.

 4. Pray that we would not underestimate the Devil who is a formidable enemy and blinds the minds of unbelievers and looks for believers to devour. Pray for strength to resist Him.

 5. Thank God for the leaders He gives who speak His Word, and who encourage us to worship God.

 6. In Deborah and Barak we see how different gifts benefit the body. Thank God for all the different gifts He has given people in this church. Pray that they would use them for His glory and our good.

 7. Barak in asking Deborah to go with him, showed his need for God's presence and direction. Praise God that we have the presence of Jesus Christ and His direction available to us wherever we go.

 8. Ask God to help us see the danger of putting off our obedience to God's Word and not putting to death sin quickly, and the trouble that comes to us when we do.
