i) Praise God for His many promises to us. Pray that would have a firm conviction and expectation that He will keep every one of them, and would this be strong that we have a present enjoyment of what is to come.
ii) Pray that God would help us to believe and be certain of what we do not see. Pray for those who find it hard to believe that the Lord would help them in their unbelief.
iii) Thank God for the example of those who have gone before us that faithfully followed Christ and have demonstrated to us what it means to live by faith and continue in the faith to the end.
iv) Praise God the Creator of heaven and earth who by His powerful word made everything out of nothing. Give thanks to Him for opening our eyes to see how all things came to be and for His Word that tells us, unlike science and reason, how creation came about.
v) Pray that people would see the glory of God in creation and recognise His existence, power, wisdom, beauty and goodness. Pray that this would lead them to discover that He has revealed Himself more clearly in Jesus who is the Saviour of sinners and for them to put their trust in Him.
vi) Thank the Lord for gracious providing a way to draw near to worship Him through a sacrifice that removes our sin. Thank Jesus for being the sacrifice that Abel’s sacrifice pointed to, and that those who trust in His blood are forgiven and declared righteous by the Father.
vii) Pray for help of the Holy Spirt to walk with God each day and please Him with our lives until we are taken to be with the Lord in heaven.
