i) Praise God for the privilege we have of being able to come God’s presence; for being able to draw near to Him in prayer because the curtain blocking entry has been removed. Pray that we would be aware of being in God’s presence as we gather to pray.
ii) Thank Jesus for His perfect life lived and that because He is truly righteous, He can atone for our sins. Thank the Lord that He has made us righteous in God’s sight.
iii) Thank Jesus for taking upon Himself all our sins and taking the punishment we deserve for every single one of them. Pray that this would motivate us not to sin.
iv) Praise God that Jesus has sat down because His saving work is completely finished. Pray that this would fill us with confidence that our sins have been forgiven.
v) Praise God that we have been sprinkled clean from an evil conscience. Pray that we would have a clear conscience by confessing our sins regularly.
vi) Pray that we would watch out for one another, looking for ways to provoke each other to love and good deeds. Pray that we would find opportunities during the week to actually encourage one another to live for Christ in practical ways.
vii) Praise God that we are able to meet together to worship God and pray together. Pray that we would have a desire to gather together and would care for those who are unable to gather and to lovingly pursue those who are neglecting to gather.
