What about each of the 66 books of the Bible?

At the end of Luke’s Gospel, His account about the life of Jesus, there’s a couple of verses that tell us something Jesus said to His disciples, and where He tells us what the Bible is about.

Jesus “opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures.  He told them, ‘This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.” (Luke 24:45-47)

Jesus tells us that every book of the Bible is about Himself.

The whole Bible is about Him.

His death.

His resurrection.

And that this is good news for everyone to hear because its the way they can be forgiven and be friends with God.

So who is the Bible about?  Who is the story of the Bible about?

It’s Jesus.

That’s what we’ve seen as we followed the story from the beginning and God creating the world to the end and Jesus returning to take His followers to live with Him in heaven.
