Romans 7

v1-6: In Christ, "we are delivered from the power of the law that curses and condemns us for the sin committed by us" and "we are released from the power of the law that stirs and provokes the sin that lives in us."

v7-14:  The law in general and every individual commandment is holy, just, and good, because the One who made them is holy, just and good.  "There is no way of coming to the knowledge of sin that is necessary for our repentance... except by comparing our hearts and lives with the law."

v14-25: Those who are born again want to be free from sin and to do the will of God perfectly, but they are unable to because indwelling sin remains in them.  The presence of sins in their lives is a burden to them which they hate, mourn over and groan under, but also something they strive against and are in conflict with.
