Mark 8:22-38

v22-26: "Christ wanted to show how those who are spiritually blind by nature are healed by his grace; at first their knowledge is confused, and they see men as trees walking, but like the light of the morning, their knowledge shines more and more to the perfect day, and then they see all things clearly."

v27-30: The miracles that Jesus did were proof that He was the Christ, the Son of God, and Saviour of the world.  A Christians is someone who believes this to be true and who acts accordingly.

v31-33: Christ knew that He must suffer and die and told His followers clearly that He would.  He knew that He had to “for the glory of God, the destruction of Satan, and human salvation.”

v34-38: "Just as the happiness of heaven with Christ is enough to make up for the loss of life itself for Christ, so the gain of the whole world in sin is not enough to make up for the ruin of the soul by sin."
