Mark 3:7-35

v7-12: Large crowds came to Jesus because they had heard about everything He had been doing.  "Some wanted to see the person who had done such great things, and others hoped he would do great things for them.”  When we hear about the great things Christ has done, we should want to come to Him, and ask Him to do great things for us.

v13-19: Those whom Jesus chose to be His apostles needed to be with Him.  They needed to be with Him, in order to receive instructions from Him, so that they would be able instruct others.  If we are to speak about Christ, we need to know Him who we are speaking about, which means we need to spend a lot of time with Him.

v20-30: "It is clear that Christ’s purpose is to enter into the strong man’s house, to take possession of the interests he has in the world, and to spoil his goods and convert them to his own service."

v31-35: Christ loves and cares for those who do the will of God, as He would His closest relatives, because those who do the will of God are His family.  If like them, we not only hear the word but do it also, we will share with them, the honour of belonging to His family.
