Colossians 3:1-4

v1: Our concern for heaven is to be greater than the concerns we have for this world, and we show this by living our lives "as Christ lived here on earth and now lives in heaven, according to our abilities."

v2: To set our minds on things above "is to set our affections on them, to love them and let our desires be toward them"; it is to "come to know them, regard them more highly than all other things, and prepare ourselves to enjoy them."

v3: If we have died to the things of this world, "and have renounced it as our... source of happiness, it is absurd for us to set our affections on it and seek it."  Our new life, "our true life" lies in heaven, hid with Christ, where it is "kept secure."

v4: Christ will appear again.  When He does, "we will... appear with him in glory," and "it will be his glory to have his redeemed ones with him" and our "glory to come with him, and be with him forever."
