Acts 24
v1-9: We should thank God for the benefits we can enjoy and the worthy deeds that are done when governments act wisely and for the good of the people they rule over.
v10-21: There will be a resurrection of the dead. A resurrection of all people from the beginning of time to the very end. It will be a resurrection for them to either life or to condemnation, to eternal happiness or eternal misery. We should live our lives confident that this resurrection is coming and in preparation for it.
v22-27: Delays are dangerous in spiritual matters. Waiting until a more convenient time to repent and believe is foolish because benefits of conviction are lost and the convenient time never comes. "The present time—now—is without doubt the most convenient time" to turn to God.
Acts 25
v1-12: "God is not limited to one method in working out salvation for his people." Sometimes it can even involve making the worldly policies of leaders work to serve His purposes.
v13-27: "What Paul affirmed about Jesus, that he is now alive, is a matter of such immense importance that if it is not true, we are all ruined."
