2 Thessalonians 2:9-10

v9: The man of lawlessness will "work with satanic power and deceit."  He will use "many subtle tricks" including "false signs" and "counterfeit miracles" to deceitfully persuade people "to accept false teaching."

v10: Those who are most likely to follow after the man of lawlessness, and be deceived by him, are those who have heard the truth, but did not love it.  "If they had loved the truth, they would have persevered in it and been preserved by it." It should be no surprise that those who cannot bear sound doctrine and do not love the truth, are those who are easily parted from it.  "They are in a lost condition and in danger of being lost forever."
