1 Peter 1:13-21
v13: If we have entered through the narrow gate, we must walk on the narrow path. This means living “lives of self-control and holiness.”
v14: When someone becomes a Christian, “their motivation, attitudes, behaviour, speech, and conduct” change from “what they were before.” Have yours?
v15-16: “Complete holiness is the desire and duty of every Christian.” We must be holy, as God is holy.
v17-19: When Christ shed his most precious blood, He did not only redeem us “from eternal misery in the future, but also from an empty way of life in this world” that does not bring honour to God.
v20-21: Before the foundation of the world, God “determined and decreed that his Son would die” for His people, and all who are His people will be saved. His determination to save you began a long time ago and assures us that we will.
