1 Corinthians 7:25-40
v25-35: Christians should take care that they do not get too engrossed in the world. The troubles of the world that cause us to weep, the enjoyments of the world that bring us delight, our worldly dealings and employment and concerns can each distract us from honouring God and doing good to people.
v36-38: It is not a sin for someone to marry nor is it a sin for someone to remain unmarried. Getting married is permissible for Christians, but it may not be appropriate for them under particular circumstance. It can be useful, therefore, to ask whether this would be for their benefit, comfort, and advantage as to their spiritual concerns, before going ahead with this.
v39-40: "When people are guided by the fear of God and the laws of God and act in dependence on the providence of God in the choice of a marriage partner" they can "humbly hope for his blessing on their lives."
