What might stop people from being able to see?

Losing their glasses.

Blindfolded.

Being spat on by a dinosaur (I’ve seen Jurassic Park!)

Looking directly into the sun.

Being born blind or an illness/injury that causes blindness.

There’s something else or rather someone else who stops people from seeing.

Satan.

And we need to know this so that as Paul wrote, *“Satan might not outwit us” (2 Corinthians 2:11)*

Blinding is another tactic of the devil, along with lying, pretending to be something he is not, snatching, accusing, and poisoning that he uses to harm people.

Satan blinds.

He stops people from seeing.

Seeing the truth about Jesus and His death on cross and resurrection on the third day, and all that this means.

“The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” (2 Corinthians 4:4)

Satan blinds people who do not love and trust and follow Jesus by hiding what is true from them.

He allows them to know facts about Jesus.
